How to Get a Refund From Vedantu?

It may be possible that while enrolling as a student in one of the courses at Vedantu, your preferred timings did not match your preferred teacher’s available time slots, and you didn’t take a session after making a payment. In such cases, you might seek a refund. It may also be possible that the course is not as per your expectations, and you wish to cancel your confirmed enrollment, again, for which you seek a refund.

However, if you decide not to continue, Vedantu will give you with a full refund in accordance with the appropriate terms and conditions. If you want to know how to receive a refund from Vedantu, this article will tell you all you need to know.

Refund Policy at Vedantu

Vedantu Refund policy depends on the types of enrolled courses.

1. All Long Term courses/subscriptions - No Refund

2. Rank Booster/Doubt App/Trimmed Down Products/ Crash Courses (JEE/NTSE/Olympiads) - No Refund

3. One-to-One Tuition courses (for regular tuition in grades 6-12) - No refund

4. Vedantu Superkids program ( Coding, Reading, and other specialty classes) - No refund

5. The VIP or Vedantu Improvement Program is applicable to all types of Long Term Course variants except Distance Learning Programmes to get a refund.

6. A student to remain covered under VIP must have attended 75% of the scheduled live classes and must have completed 75% of the assigned tests to get a refund.

Vedantu Improvement Program (VIP)

VIP is a commitment made to students who join in Vedantu long-term courses between 1st March 2023 to 30th June 2023. VIP is offered on Vedantu’s long term courses offered for students in Grades 3rd-12th and 12th-Passed (JEE/NEET Repeater).

VIP does not apply to stand-alone, non-long term, short-term Courses like Crash, Crash Plus, V Assist, Microcourse, Test Series etc.  VIP also does not apply to Long Term Courses purchased for one-month, three-months or six-months access.

VIP is applicable only on a Student’s aggregate score or rank for the subjects enrolled into Vedantu (taken together). The promise is that the student will see a score/rank improvement at the end of the assessment period.

When Can a Student Claim Course Fees Refund?

1. For Grade 3-10 & Grade 12 (non-JEE/NEET ) courses - Within 7 days of the actual School Final Exam or Board Exam results being declared - If a student, even after meeting the minimum eligible criteria, doesn't see improvement in his / her actual School Final Exam or Board Exam score as compared to his/her previous Grade School Final Exam Score.

2. For Grade 11 (non-JEE/NEET ) courses - Within 7 days of the year-end Benchmark Tests ( Learning Progress Tests) results being declared - If a student, even after meeting the minimum eligible criteria, doesn't see improvement in his / her year-end Benchmark Tests ( Learning Progress Tests) assessment level as compared to his/her initial Benchmark Tests ( Learning Progress Tests) assessment level.

3. For JEE/NEET courses - Within 7 days of the JEE-Main/NEET-UG results being declared - If a student, even after meeting the minimum eligible criteria, doesn't see improvement in his / her actual JEE-Main/NEET-UG rank as compared to his/her rank predicted by the initial Benchmark Tests ( Learning Progress Tests) which was conducted at the start of the course.

How Much Course Fees Can an Eligible Student Request to Refund?

Subject to eligibility criteria, if a student claims refund at the end of the first year, the entire course fees paid will be refunded to him/her. From the second year onwards, if a student claims a refund, subject to eligibility criteria, he/she will be refunded proportionately. Please refer the table for details:-

Within 30 days of the refund request getting approved, the actual course fees paid by a student will be returned in the requested account.

Conclusion

It is strongly encouraged to request a refund only in exceptional circumstances, as withdrawing from Vedantu's top-tier courses means you will miss out on a tremendous opportunity to study with the team of one of the best professors in the country. That being said, this does not exclude you from using Vedantu's refund services; it is your right if you are dissatisfied with the services.

However, we recommend that you resolve the issue by taking more classes or enrolling in a new course. Yet, if you want to accept a refund and move on, we will assist you at every stage of the refund process.
