The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, known as CISCE, is expected to release the official date sheet of ICSE Board Class 10 in December 2024. CISCE administers the ICSE Class 10 and 12 exams for students across the nation.
The ICSE Class 10 board exams 2024 are expected to be conducted in February-March 2024. Students are allowed to download the ICSE 10th Time Table 2023 from www.cisce.org.
It must be noted that the syllabus for ICSE Class 10 has already been made available on the official website along with ICSE Previous Year Question Papers for students to help them prepare well for the exam. According to the Table, GROUP 1 Contains the following compulsory subjects - History, Geography, Civics, English and second language.
Here is the type of questions that will be asked for each subject in GROUP 1
Two papers will be conducted:
Language Skills - Compositions, Letters, Unseen Passage, and Grammar
Literature Skills - Prose, Poetry, and drama-based questions
Each paper will consist of 80 marks and students must score at least 26 marks to pass.
The exam will be based on the long and short answers from the chapters given in the book.

Map-based questions
Long answers with sketches, diagrams, and graphs
It is divided into two sections of 40 marks each:
Section A - Comprehensions, Letter, and Grammar questions
Section B -Questions from the chapters in the textbooks
As per the ICSE Exam pattern for class 10 Board, Group 2 has 8 subjects out of which 2 subjects are optional. The exam pattern for each subject is given below:
It will be conducted in two sections:
The first section contains all the compulsory short answers to questions of 40 marks
The second section contains 6 questions out of which students must attempt any 4 for 40 marks.

Section-B (40 marks) - 7 questions out of which 4 must be attempted
The paper is divided into two sections of 40 marks each:

The paper consists of 80 marks. The questions include elementary Sanskrit grammar and translation of small prose and sentences from English to Sanskrit.

Translation into English
Students will have one subject as optional. The paper will be 50 marks. The ICSE Exam Pattern for each subject of Group 3 is given below:
One section will have compulsory short answer-based questions, while the second section will have long answer-type questions.
Students will have the option of 4 papers of paintings, and they need to select any two for assessment.
Three sections of Vocal Music, Instrumental music, and Tabla.
Students must follow the exam instructions compulsorily mentioned under the guidelines of the ICSE Board Exam. Here they are as follows:
Report to the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
As per the guidelines of ICSE Exams, students will be given 15 minutes extra to read the exam paper
No unfair means are allowed to carry with students or else it is required to be left out of the exam hall
No electronic gadgets are allowed such as Calculator, Mobile phones, etc.
Students must carry the Admit Card while appearing for the exam
