ICSE Class 10 Exam 2024 Time Table

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, known as CISCE, is expected to release the official date sheet of ICSE Board Class 10 in December 2024. CISCE administers the ICSE Class 10 and 12 exams for students across the nation. 

The ICSE Class 10 board exams 2024 are expected to be conducted in February-March 2024. Students are allowed to download the ICSE 10th Time Table 2023 from www.cisce.org. 

It must be noted that the syllabus for ICSE Class 10 has already been made available on the official website along with ICSE Previous Year Question Papers for students to help them prepare well for the exam. Based on the ICSE 10th Date Sheet 2024, students can plan their studies and work on them rigorously to get good marks in the exam. ICSE 10th Class Exam Pattern 2024 – List of Subjects 

Students can prefer the below-mentioned table to know about the ICSE 10th Board Exam pattern 2024. Students must complete the ICSE 10th Board Syllabus 2024 at least one month before the exam. Here are the details:

ICSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2024 for GROUP 1

According to the Table, GROUP 1 Contains the following compulsory subjects - History, Geography, Civics, English and second language. 

Here is the type of questions that will be asked for each subject in GROUP 1

English 

Two papers will be conducted: 

• Language Skills - Compositions, Letters, Unseen Passage, and Grammar 

• Literature Skills  - Prose, Poetry, and drama-based questions 

Each paper will consist of 80 marks and students must score at least 26 marks to pass.

History & Civics

The exam will be based on the long and short answers from the chapters given in the book.

Geography

Questions will include:

• Short answers 

• Map-based questions

• Long answers with sketches, diagrams, and graphs

Second Language

It is divided into two sections of 40 marks each:

• Section A - Comprehensions, Letter, and Grammar questions

• Section B -Questions from the chapters in the textbooks
  
  

ICSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2024 for GROUP 2

As per the ICSE Exam pattern for class 10 Board, Group 2 has 8 subjects out of which 2 subjects are optional. The exam pattern for each subject is given below:

Physics, Chemistry & Biology

It will be conducted in two sections:

• The first section contains all the compulsory short answers to questions of 40 marks

• The second section contains 6 questions out of which students must attempt any 4 for 40 marks.

Mathematics 

It is divided into two sections:

• Section-A - compulsory questions for 40 marks

• Section-B (40 marks) - 7 questions out of which 4 must be attempted 

Environmental Science, Commercial Studies & Economics

The paper is divided into two sections of 40 marks each:

• One section with compulsory short questions

• The second section has 6 long answers out of which 4 needs to be attempted

Classical Language

The paper consists of 80 marks. The questions include elementary Sanskrit grammar and translation of small prose and sentences from English to Sanskrit.

Modern Foreign Language

There will be 5 questions, including

• Unseen passages

• Grammar

• Letter 

• Composition

ICSE Class 10th Exam Pattern 2024 for GROUP 3

Students will have one subject as optional. The paper will be 50 marks. The ICSE Exam Pattern for each subject of Group 3 is given below:

Commercial, Economic, Computer, Environmental Application & Home Science

One section will have compulsory short answer-based questions, while the second section will have long answer-type questions.

Art

Students will have the option of 4 papers of paintings, and they need to select any two for assessment.

Performing Arts

Three sections of Vocal Music, Instrumental music, and Tabla.

ICSE Class 10 Board Exam - Guidelines

Students must follow the exam instructions compulsorily mentioned under the guidelines of the ICSE Board Exam. Here they are as follows:

• Report to the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

• As per the guidelines of ICSE Exams, students will be given 15 minutes extra to read the exam paper

• No unfair means are allowed to carry with students or else it is required to be left out of the exam hall

• No electronic gadgets are allowed such as Calculator, Mobile phones, etc.

• Students must carry the Admit Card while appearing for the exam

ICSE Board Class 10 Exam 2024 Timings

The official ICSE Class 10 Date Sheet & timings are not announced yet. The following timings are based on the previous timetable:

• Entry to the exam hall - 9:30 AM

• Distribution of Answer sheets - between 10 to 10:15 AM

• Time for reading the paper - 10:15 to 10:30 AM

• The exam will begin at 10:30 AM

• Deadline - 1:30 AM
