Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national-level programme launched by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in 1999. The objective of launching this programme is to inspire students to pursue research careers in basic sciences, medicine, and engineering.
Every year, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore holds the KVPY exam, which is open to students in classes 11th, 12th, and UG Science courses. The exam grants fellowships in three streams, SA, SX, and SB, up to the pre-Ph.D. level.
A generous fellowship is offered to selected KVPY candidates up to the pre-Ph.D. level or for 5 years, whichever comes first. In addition, several summer camps for KVPY fellows are held at various leading educational institutions throughout the country.

Being a KVPY Scholar is a prestigious title that provides direct admission to reputed institutions such as IISc and the various IISERs. One can also get admission to IIIT- Hyderabad, which is regarded as one of the best computer science institutes. For a prestigious exam like KVPY, students need a good KVPY Course and planning as well. So here are the benefits of choosing Vedantu for KVPY preparation.
Vedantu's core strength is personalised LIVE online teaching. This ensures that a student receives the full attention of a dedicated teacher and learns at his or her own pace. The interaction between the teacher and students is strong and two-way, and it is also technologically monitored for future improvement. Unlike in a typical classroom, the students are encouraged to ask doubts/questions.
We can confidently state that we have reputable experience in mentoring and educating more than 10,000 students. A child needs mentoring in addition to teaching, especially for KVPY courses where they lack motivation. It does not encourage or support genuine learning. Neither a recorded lecture nor a sole dependence on the educational institution may help here. In this case, we can safely claim that our two-way teaching approach is far better than recorded classes.
Online courses from Vedantu save time and energy that is used for travelling to coaching centres. Also, it is not advisable to travel long hours and distances for a professional coaching class, wasting energy, and taking health and security risks.
According to the conventional teaching method, learning depends on time and place. We believe that education shouldn't depend on time and place. With the help of Vedantu courses, learning and teaching are removed from the limitations of time and place. A student has the freedom to ask for guidance and support at any time of day or night, and professors at Vedantu are always eager to lend a helping hand.
A candidate who passes the KVPY exam will receive a monthly or yearly scholarship during the basic science course, which is a three-year or five-year integrated course.
If you are a KVPY scholar, you'll get direct admission to top institutes such as the IISc and various IISERs. Candidates can also get direct admission to IIIT-Hyderabad.
The KVPY exam provides a great opportunity for JEE aspirants to evaluate their conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
NEET candidates can also put their PCB conceptual knowledge to test by taking the KVPY exam.
KVPY scholars have free access to all of the country's national libraries. In addition, the candidate is allowed to attend all science camps.
