National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

To be eligible, candidates must qualify for the senior secondary examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with the best five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students who have studied fewer than five subjects in their qualifying exam are not eligible for JEE Main 2025.

Eligibility for B.E./ B.Tech Programs

For admission to B.E./ B.Tech programs, candidates must have cleared the senior secondary examination with subjects including Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subjects, and any other subject.

Eligibility for B.Arch / B. Planning Programs

To be eligible for B.Arch / B. Planning programs, candidates must have cleared the senior secondary examination with subjects including Language, Physics, Mathematics (mandatory), Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject, and any other subject.



Students who have completed their Class 12 (or equivalent) exams outside India or haven't passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from a recognised Central/State Board in India are required to furnish a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). This certificate must validate the equivalence of their completed exam to the Class 12 Examination.
