IIST Eligibility Criteria 2023 - For B.Tech Courses

Before proceeding with IIST Application Form, it is important for the candidates to go through the IIST Eligibility Criteria 2023 carefully. If any candidate fails to meet the required criteria for B.Tech admission, then his/her application will not be considered for selection. Given below are the eligibility criteria required for IIST B.Tech Admission 2023:

  1. Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  2. Date of Birth: Candidates belonging to the General, OBC-NCL and EWS categories must be born on 1st October 1996 or after. Whereas, the SC, ST and PwD candidates, they must be born on or after 1st October 1991.

  3. Qualifying Marks: A minimum of 75% marks in aggregate must be scored by the candidates in their Class 12 Board or any other equivalent examination. For the SC/ST/PwD categories, the candidates need to score a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate in their Class 12 Board examination.

  4. Compulsory Subjects for IIST Admission: To be eligible for selection, it is mandatory to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the major subjects in Class 12.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology has released specific reservation criteria for B.Tech 2023 Admission. Candidates willing to apply for B.Tech Programmes under IIST, must refer to the following reservation criteria before proceeding with the IIST B.Tech application 2023:

How to Apply for IIST B.Tech 2023?

The application form of IIST B.Tech 2023 will be released by IIST on the official website (iist.ac.in). The process of application will mainly include IIST B.Tech registration, form fill-up and IIST application fee payment.

For filling out the IIST B.Tech application form, candidates should follow the steps below: 

  1. First, visit the official university website. 

  2. Log in by entering your valid email and password.

  3. You would then have to fill up all important details regarding your personal information. 

  4. After submitting all the details correctly, you would then have to make the payment for the application. 

  5. Once the payment has been made, you would then have to upload your signature, photograph, etc. 

  6. You will also have to upload a copy of the challan for applying for the exam. 

  7. Once all the information has been filled, you would have to click on the submit button. 

  8. After submitting all the information you would have to take out a printout of the same. 

 

Application Fee for IIST B.Tech Admission 2023

The IIST application fee for B.Tech Admission 2023 is INR 600 for male candidates and for female candidates it is INR 300. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the application fee for IIST Application 2023 is INR 300.

 

 IIST B.Tech Counseling 2023

The candidates who get shortlisted as per the IIST merit list are eligible to sit for  the IIST B.Tech Counseling process 2023. They would have to choose their preferred stream through online mode before the last date for the same. To do so, candidates would have to log in to the portal using their registration number and password. No changes would be made after the last date goes by. Once you have given your choices, the next step would be the allotment of seats where you would be given a college according to the course and the college that you had opted for. You have to take into consideration the allotment process and freeze your seat in the college. Once that is also done, you would then have to go through the document verification step after which your admission would be made final.

1. What are the total marks for JEE Advanced paper?

JEE Advanced exam is conducted for a total of 306 marks. It consists of two papers - Paper I and Paper II with each paper having 183 marks. Both the papers are conducted for 3 hours each in English and Hindi languages. All the questions are from Class 10+2 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

2. Is there any entrance exam for IIST?

No entrance examination will be conducted by the university to offer admission in UG and PG courses. Admission is provided to the candidates on the basis of national level examinations such as JEE Advanced, JEE Main, JEST, UGC NET, GATE etc.
