The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the official dates for Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams. As per the latest notification, the Board will be conducting the exams in two phases - Term I and Term II. The date sheet for Term I final examination was released by CBSE on 18th October 2021 at their official website.
The minor subject examinations for both class 12 and class 10 will begin from November 16th and 17th respectively. The major subjects for Class 10 will be commencing with Social Science from November 30, 2021, which is followed by Science on 2nd December, General Mathematics on 4th December and English on 11th December. For CBSE Class 12, the major exams will commence from 1st December 2021 and will continue till 15th December 2021.

According to the official statement released by CBSE, the Term I examination will consist of MCQ based questions with a time allocation of 90 minutes. The term II examination, on the other hand, will be of the subjective type with a time allocation of 120 minutes. Both term I and term II examinations will include practicals and will be conducted offline across all the schools in India.
The special assessment scheme for class 10 and 12 CBSE board exams for 2021-22, which was announced in July in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, included bifurcating the academic session, having two term-end tests, and rationalising the syllabus. As stated by Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of CBSE examinations, proper safety and elaborate arrangements will be made by the Board while conducting the Term 1 exams amidst the fears of a Covid-19 third wave. He also stated that only 12 students will be allowed in each room to maintain social distancing.
