IIT Patna is planning to introduce six new programmes that will not require JEE score. The students will be able to apply for these upcoming programmes through the official website (iitp.ac.in).
These new programmes are in accordance with the NEP-2020 framework that emphasises employable skills that are relevant in the industry. As the circumstances are changing due to the pandemic, these programmes are launched in phases in hybrid mode.
B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science and Data Analytics (CSDA)
B.Sc. (Hons) Artificial Intelligence And Cybersecurity (AICS)
B.Sc. (Hons) Mathematics and Computer Science (MCS)
B.Sc. (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management (AFM)
B.Sc. (Hons) Business Management and Analytics (BMA)
Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA)
JEE exam scores will be considered for the students who have already cleared it, while for the other students, entrance will be on the basis of CUCET, NTSE, KVPY, SAT(US), INSPIRE, State level entrance, and IIT-SAT.
These new business management courses are designed by the guidelines mentioned by professional bodies ICAI, ICSI, ACCA, NSE, and CIMA. Not only these courses will offer classroom learning, but students will also get the opportunity to gain experience through a paid apprenticeship.
Each stream will have a cap of 250 students with a total count of 1500. The semester fee will be Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000 for computer science and business management courses, respectively.
