The first session of JEE Main 2023 will begin on January 24. Before the test, it is important that the aspirants are aware of the guidelines and follow them for a smooth execution of the exam. The admit card for January 24 test is already out and NTA is expected to release the January 25 test’s admit card aws well soon on its website.
NTA has released some important guidelines for the exam that every aspirant should adhere to.
Only those candidates who are scheduled to enter or leave the JEE Main 2023 exam centre will be permitted to do so
Any conversation, gesture, or disruption in the testing environment would be regarded as inappropriate behaviour during the JEE Main 2023 exam. If a candidate is discovered to have impersonated someone else or used unfair tactics, their application will be rejected, and depending on the seriousness of the offence, they may be permanently disqualified from sitting exams.
It is encouraged that candidates who are wearing special clothing for religious reasons arrive at the exam sites earlier so that they can go through a thorough inspection and mandatory frisking.
It is mandatory to carry the 2023 NTA JEE Main admit card, which is printed on A4-sized sheets. Candidates must also bring the following paperwork: a self-declaration form, undertaking, or proforma printed on an A4 size sheet and duly filled out; a valid photo ID proof; a simple transparent ballpoint pen; a copy of the same photo used on the application to paste on the attendance sheet; a PwD certificate, if applicable; and, if necessary, documents pertaining to scribes.
Candidates must adhere strictly to the invigilators' and centre superintendent's directions.
The JEE exam room will provide a pen/pencil and blank paper for rough work. At the top of their sheet, candidates must write their name and roll number. Before leaving the testing location, the examiner must receive this documents back.
Candidates shall place their JEE Main Hall Ticket 2023 and rough sheet inside the box after showing them to the invigilator.
The following things are also permitted in the test room: a 50 ml bottle of personal hand sanitizer, a personal transparent water bottle, mask and gloves, and whole fruits or sugar pills for applicants with diabetes.
Though there is no prescribed dress code for students by NTA, it is advisable that the students should consider the following instructions prescribed by the NTA.
Examinants are not permitted to bring any metallic items inside the exam room (also includes no metal part on the clothes). They should refrain from bringing any jewellery, watches, or other accessories to the JEE Main exam location.
During the exam, candidates are not permitted to cover their faces or heads.
Avoid wearing items such as brooches, notably huge buttons, etc. to the exam.
The JEE Main 2023 Session 1 will be conducted in two shifts. Shift 1 will be between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM while the second shift will be administered between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The entry for the first shift will be between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM while for the second shift, students have to report between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. The Invigilator will give the instructions 20 minutes before the exam while candidates will get 10 minutes to read the instructions.
