Due to the ongoing pandemic, the NEET exam which was supposed to be held on 1st August 2021, got postponed to 12th September 2021, to avoid severity. Registration will commence on the official website tomorrow, according to the ministry.
"The NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September 2021 across the country following COVID-19 protocols. The application process will begin from 5 pm tomorrow through the NTA website(s)," said Mr Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2021 for admission to MBBS/BDS Programmes and other undergraduate medical courses at approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/Institutions in India.

The NEET test will be administered on paper in 11 distinct languages. Previously, NTA said that NEET UG 2021 will be held just once and that the curriculum for NEET 2021 will be the same as the previous year. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are among the NEET subjects.
Admission to 83075 MBBS, 26949 BDS, 52720 AYUSH, and 525 BVSc and AH seats, including 1,899 AIIMS and 249 JIPMER seats, will be given through NEET 2021. The number of cities where examinations will be held has been raised from 155 to 198 in order to ensure social distancing standards. In addition, the number of examination centres will be raised from the 3862 utilized in 2020.
Last year, 13.66 lakh registered students took the NEET UG test out of a total of 13.66 lakh registered candidates. Last year, just 7.71 lakh students qualified for the NEET exam out of all those who applied.
