One of its main features in temperate climates is the striking change in colour for the leaves of deciduous trees as they prepare to shed. The hot and humid weather starts fading away and trees start dropping leaves in this season, also known as the fall season.

Clouds in the sky become clearer as compared to the monsoon season and a bright moon can be seen in the sky along with countless shining stars that look like pearls scattered in the sky. The water of the rivers and ponds settles down and becomes clean and there is no mud in the villages. The insects and bugs slowly start disappearing with the arrival of autumn.
