Hint: Body will continue to be in uniform velocity if there is no force acting on it. Body will accelerate or decelerate if there is net force acting on it.

Complete step by step solution:
When the coin is tossed upwards in the air by the passenger from the moving train, there is no horizontal force acting on it and it starts moving with uniform horizontal velocity( velocity of coin will be same velocity of train , at the time of release).
If the coin has fallen exactly in the hands of the passenger( initial position) then we can conclude that the train is moving with the uniform velocity ( as both coin and train will have the same velocity).
Here in this case the coin falls behind the passenger, which means that during the time when the coin was in the air, the coin was moving with uniform horizontal velocity but velocity of the train was not uniform, it was increasing(i.e train was accelerating).

Thus, the correct answer is option A.

Note: Suppose if the coin has fallen in front of the passenger, it means the coin was moving with constant velocity when it was in the air and the train was decelerating.
