He was an Indian nationalist active in the struggle for Indian independence. Alluri was finally trapped in the woods of Chintapalli by the British, then bound to a tree and executed in Koyyuru village by gunfire. He stole weapons and ammunition with his followers and killed several British police officers, including two near Dammanapall. Alluri visited areas in the district of Visakhapatnam and became aware of the needs of the indigenous people.
