Hint: Fibres are defined as the thread like structures which are thin, long and flexible strands. The two main sources of Fibers are plants and animals. Let us discuss these:

Complete answer:
Animal fibers are made up of proteins. Same as in humans, the hairs are made up of proteins (keratin) but in plants the fibers are made up of cellulose.
As we know how polymers are made-up of small units linked together called monomers in the same way cellulose are made-up of smaller units of glucose linked together to form a long chain or branched chain known as cellulose. It is the major part in the plant cell present, which is used to produce the artificial fibers and polymers like rayon’s, plastics, etc. To form long fibers, the cell should join together to form fibers so animal cells cannot be the correct answer.
Fats are generally cross-linked instead of crosslink so to become the long fibers the structure and properties of fats are not proper; hence it is not the valid answer.

Hence the correct answer is option (B) Protein, it is made up of amino acids which are linked via peptide bond.

Note: There are different types of proteins present in the body of animals some are synthesized in the body and others are taken in the form of food, which helps to build up skin, nails, hairs, etc.
