Hint: Heat zones of the earth can be defined as the different zones which are found on our planet where the rays of sun fall at a different angle. Because of receiving a different amount of heat, different climates occur in these zones.

Complete Answer: There are three heat zones which are found on our planet earth. They are as follows-

Torrid Zone: This is that zone of earth’s surface which receives the maximum amount of heat because this zone is present between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. This region or area receives the direct and vertical sun rays for the whole year. This zone gets the maximum amount of the heat from the sun. This zone is also known as the tropical zone.

Temperate zone: This zone is located between the Tropic of Cancer and the arctic circle in the northern hemisphere and between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic circle . This zone receives less sunlight in comparison to the Torrid zone. This region receives the slanting sun rays.

Frigid Zone: This zone is the region which is located between the arctic circle and the north pole in the northern hemisphere and between antarctic circle and the south pole in the southern hemisphere. Frigid zone is the zone which is also known as the polar region. The temperature of this zone is very low because this zone receives very less amount of the sun rays.

Note: Earth is a terrestrial planet and it is the only known planet where life exists. About 70 percent of the area of earth is covered with water. The atmosphere of earth keeps our planet warm. Because of the atmosphere all the living things can survive on the earth.
