Raja Ram Mohan Roy is known as the Father of Modern India and he founded the first religious reform organization that is called Brahmo Samaj in 1828. It was established at Calcutta on August 20. The two most eminent leaders of the Brahmo Samaj were Debendranath Tagore and Keshab Chandra Sen. The Brahmo Samaj was one of the first important organizations of religious reforms. He is one of the greatest achievements in the field of religious reform was held on the introduction of Brahmo Sabha in 1828 and Brahmo Samaj was one of the first important organizations of religious reforms. After the death of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, there was a split in the Brahmo Samaj into two in 1866. Keshab Chandra Sen and his group mainly focused on the views that were more radical than those of the original Brahmo Samajists.
