Hint: First of all we need to know what a bandwidth defines and definition of frequency. We can say a frequency is the number of complete cycles in unit time while a bandwidth is defined as the amount of data transmitted in unit time. Now from this we can form a relation between a bandwidth and a frequency.
Complete step by step solution:
Bandwidth:
It is defined as the maximum data that is the transfer rate of a given system or in other word we can say that the capacity for data transfer of an electronic communication system per second. A bandwidth of a waveform is the difference between the upper and the lower frequencies in a range of continuous bands of frequency. It is measured in hertz.
Frequency:
It is defined as the number of occurrences of a repeating event per unit of time. In other words we can say the number of waves that pass a fixed point in a unit time.
Now from the above two derivation we can say that bandwidth and frequency are related as given below,
Bandwidth = difference between lower frequency and upper frequency
$BW = {f_H} - {f_L}$
Where,
$BW$= Bandwidth
${f_L}$= Lower frequency
${f_H}$= Upper or higher frequency
Note:
Remember that the concept of bandwidth is closely related to the ability of a system to transmit information. Note that if a signal has more bandwidth then in this case meaning that it includes it with higher frequency, hence we can say that bandwidth and frequency are directly proportional to each other but they are not same.
