Hint: In 1880 when it was first founded , it was named Pothos aureus, which is in part why it is often commonly referred to as a "pothos". After a flower was observed in 1962, it was given the new name of Rhaphidophora aurea.

Complete Answer:
- Money plant (Epipremnum aureum) is a species of flowering plant in the arum family Araceae, inhabitant in the Society Islands of French Polynesia. The species is a admired houseplant in temperate regions, but has also become naturalized in tropical and sub-tropical forests worldwide which include northern Australia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Pacific Islands and the West Indies, wherever it has caused severe ecological damage in some cases.
- The plant has a large number of common names including golden pothos, Ceylon creeper, hunter's robe, ivy arum, house plant, money plant, silver vine, Solomon Islands ivy, marble queen, and taro vine.
- It is also known as devil's vine or devil's ivy because it is almost not possible to kill and it stays green even when kept in the dark. It is sometimes incorrectly labeled as a Philodendron in plant stores.
- It is commonly identified as a money plant in many parts of the Indian subcontinent. It flowers rarely without artificial hormone supplements.
- When it flowered it was kept for keen examination. But, after closer examination of the flower, the researchers fit a sensitive resemblance to Epipremnum pinnatum and synonymised it with that species. Only after additional observations of all parts of the plant, as well as the leaves and growing patterns, was it again separated from E. pinnatum, as E. aureum.
- They were generally classified under the category of climbers. Climbers are much more superior than creepers. Climbers have a very thin, long and weak stem which cannot stand erect, but they can use external hold up to grow vertically and carry their weight. These types of plants have special structures called tendrils to climb.

Note: Some examples of the plants which come under the category climbers plants names include pea plant, grapevine, sweet gourd, jasmine, runner beans, green peas, etc.
