Hint: Recall who is known as the father of the Indian Constitution. Also the chairman of the drafting committee is different from the Presidential chair of the committee.

Complete answer:
We know that the elected constituent assembly, which served as the first parliament of independent India, is credited with framing and creating the world's longest constitution. Each and every member was personally involved in this rigorous task and the first draft was presented on 29th November,1949, while the assembly was founded on 9th December 1946.
The Drafting Committee of the Constitution was chaired by Dr B.R Ambedkar because, as we know, he was a wise constitutional expert, he had studied the constitutions of about 60 countries. Hence Option C is the correct answer.

Now let us look at the roles and functions of the other three dignitaries given to us in the options.
Option A) Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Although a member of the constituent assembly, he was not a part of the drafting committee but headed the Union Power Committee and the Union Constitution Committee.
Option B) We know, Dr Rajendra Prasad was the first President of India, he was also the president of the constituent assembly. The final draft was submitted to him only. Moreover, he headed the Rules of Procedure Committee, Steering Committee and The National flag ad hoc committee.
Option C) The Drafting Committee of the Constitution was chaired by Dr B.R Ambedkar because, as we know, he was a wise constitutional expert, he had studied the constitutions of about 60 countries. Hence Option C is the correct answer.
Option D) Sir Benegal Narsing Rao or B.R. Rao, CIE, was an Indian civil servant, jurist, diplomat and statesman known for his key role in drafting the Constitution of India. He was also India's representative to the United Nations Security Council from 1950 to 1952.

Therefore the correct answer is option ‘C’.

Note: It is very important for us to remember the difference between the chairman of the constituent assembly and the chairman of the drafting committee, this particular question asks the latter, which we have discussed.
