Hint- Here, we will be using the concept of like decimals (having the same number of decimal places) and unlike decimals (having different numbers of decimal places).
“Complete step-by-step answer:”
As we know that like decimals are the decimals having the same number of decimal places or the decimals having the same number of digits on the right of the decimal point.
Also, unlike decimals are the decimals not having the same number of decimal places or the decimals not having the same number of digits on the right of the decimal point.
Clearly, out of all the decimals 7.2,3.67,6.66,8.02,9.714,0.72 we can say that the decimals 3.67,6.66,8.02,0.72 are the decimals which have two decimal places or have two number of digits on the right of the decimal point whereas the decimal 7.2 have one decimal place or have only one digit on the right of the decimal point and the decimal 9.714 have three decimal places or have three number of digit on the right of the decimal point.
So, 3.67,6.66,8.02,0.72 are like decimals whereas 7.2 and 9.714 are unlike decimals.
Note- In this particular problem, like decimals are the decimals which are having 2 decimal places or there are two digits after the decimal point because most of the decimals are having this pattern that’s why we have considered it as a reference pattern with respect to like decimals and unlike decimals.
