Hint:Both gametes and zygote are important in sexual reproduction. Sperm and ova unite to form a zygote which further develops and forms an embryo that becomes a baby. The sperm cell is the male gamete of males and the ovum is the female gamete of females.

Complete answer:
Zygote - it is a fertilized cell that results from the union of two nuclei i.e female gamete ( egg or ova) with a male gamete ( sperm). The stage of the zygote is short in the embryonic development of humans and other animals and is followed by cleavage where a single cell becomes subdivided into smaller cells.
An example of a zygote is a fertilized female egg from which a baby will develop. Two sets of 23 chromosomes are present in the zygote and contain all the genetic information needed to become a baby.
Gametes - it's an organism’s reproductive cells and also called sex cells. Ova or egg cells are known as female gamete whereas sperms are known as male gamete. They are the haploid cells and each cell carries only one copy of each chromosome. It can undergo internal or external fertilization and can differ from each other in size form and function.

Additional information
-The union of sperm cells and the sperm cells from the zygote, which is also known as a fertilized ovum. The zygote when it starts dividing is a single cell but after some time it divides rapidly and after the two-week period, the zygote develops into an embryo and if everything goes well the embryo becomes a fetus.
-The organs of reproductive cells are called gametes. It is also known as sex cells. Ovum or egg cells are called female gametes and sperm cells are called male gametes.
-Each cell of gamete is haploid and carries one copy of each chromosome. Meiosis is a type of cell division that produces these reproductive cells.
-During meiosis, the diploid parent cell having the two copies of each chromosome goes through one round of DNA replication and produces 4 haploid cells and these cells convert into sperm or ova. Ova matures into the ovaries of females and sperm into the testis of males.
The fertilization of the female ovum by the sperm cells results in the zygote. The embryo grows as a zygote multiplies.
-By the fertilization of two haploid cells that are formed. The ova and the sperm cells are the diploid cells. They have copies of both the parents.
-The sperm and the over are the two most common gametes. They differ from each other in size form and function.

Note:
-Until the full-grown baby, some animals usually keep their zygote in their bodies.
-Pregnancy is the time between the forming of the zygote and the baby's birth.
-Many animals lay eggs; they don't keep their zygotes inside their bodies.
