Agranulocytes are a kind of white blood cells (WBCs) also known as leukocytes that do not have the presence of cytoplasmic granules. The two major types of agranulocytes are Lymphocytes and Monocytes.
Lymphocytes are tiny cells with spherical nuclei and very less cytoplasm. Lymphocytes are divided into two types which are B lymphocytes (B cells) that produce antibodies that join with antigens and aim the pathogens for destruction and (T cells) T- lymphocytes which directly destroy the cells that have antigens on its surface. Monocytes are mononuclear leukocytes and are phagocytic and get transported by the blood to different parts where they divide into macrophages which are also phagocytic cells.
