Hint:
America is a large piece of land (landmass) which has two parts i.e. North and South America. The continent covers most of the Western Hemisphere of the globe.

Complete step by step solution:
Vasco-de-Gama – He was born in 1460 or 1469 in the town of sines and around 1480 he followed his father and joined the order of Santiago. He discovered a direct sea route to India under the reign of King Manuel.
Columbus – He was born before 31october 1451 in Republic of Genoa (now in Italy) to a wool weaver Domenico Colombo. He was very ambitious and learned Latin, Portuguese and Castilian. He was an Italian explorer who completed four voyage (a long journey travelling by sea) across the Great Atlantic Ocean. In 1485, Columbus proposed his plans to King John II of Portugal but his plans were rejected. Later on he discovered America in the year 1492 and all his expenses were sponsored by the Spanish Monarchs.
Amerigo Vespucci – He was an Italian merchant and explorer and from his name the word America has been derived. During 1497 and 1504 on behalf of Spain and Portugal he completed two voyages

Hence the answer is (B).

Note:
Christopher Columbus throughout his life showed a keen interest in the Bible and in Biblical Prophecies and read widely about astronomy, geography and history. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella promised Columbus that if he succeeded in discovering the new lands he would be given the rank of Admiral of the Ocean Sea and appointed Viceroy and Governor of all the new lands discovered by him.
