Complete answer: During her life Mary Tudor became the first ruling queen of England and attempted to restore the catholic faith which was dissolved due to English Reformation. Before her reign, there were other queens as well but she was the one who ruled as a primary monarch.
After the death of Edward Ⅵ, there was a bid to place his cousin Lady Jane who was the Protestant of England. However, after 9 days of Jane’s succession, Mary gathered support and went to London to claim the throne. Jin and her husband were murdered.

She married Prince Philip of Spain in the year 1554. Philip was given the title of ‘King of England’ and the pair ruled effectively in England. There was a protest known as the ‘Wyatt Rebellion’-which was quickly controlled and dissolved.
During her short tenure of five years, around 300 Protestants were burned because they refused to convert to Catholicism and the remaining 800 Protestants fled from the country. This brutal incident was the reason because of her notorious nickname“ Bloody Mary”.
