Hint: The production of sound waves happens due to vibration of objects. The vibration in objects travels in the form of waves. It’s wave nature is similar to the nature of a light wave.
Waves always produced either compression and rarefaction or Crest and trough but the study for both is the same.

Complete step by step answer:
Sound waves always follow the same laws of reflection as light waves do. Sound has three waves to be addressed like the light waves which help them in defining the phenomena of reflection travelling of sound.
The three different waves in sound waves are the incident wave, the reflected wave and the normal wave. According to the laws of reflection there are two laws that sound waves follow:-
The laws of reflection are:
The law of reflection defines that upon reflection from a smooth surface, the angle of the reflected wave is equal to the angle of the incident wave, with respect to the normal to the surface that is to the line which is perpendicular to the surface at the point of contact. The normal is an imaginary line which we use as a reference to measure the angles.
The reflected wave is always in the plane defined by the incident wave and normal to the surface at the point of contact of the incident wave.
These are the laws of reflection which are followed by both sound waves and light waves. But there is a difference in light waves and sound waves. Light waves travel in a straight line in solids and follow the phenomena of reflection, refraction or dispersion. A sound wave follows this nature of light in gases and liquids. In solids, the case changes. When sound waves travel through solids, they move in longitudinal or transverse form. So, this is why sound waves are different from light waves.

Note: The laws of reflection are active for all types of sound waves and light waves due to their wave nature. Keep in mind that the plane of the incident wave, the normal and the reflected wave belongs to a 3D type of figure in the case of a sound wave by experimental conclusions. Light waves are also defined as electromagnetic waves.
