Hint: The digestive system helps in the digestion of food and transportation of waste materials to the urinary system. It helps in swallowing of water and it's absorption.

Complete answer:
The digestive system is said to be made up of GI tract. It also includes liver, pancreas, gallbladder. The GI tract has a collection of hollow organs, which are connected in a long, twisting tube from the mouth to the anus. It consists of the small intestine which includes three parts, called duodenum, J shaped jejunum, ileum. The large intestine consists of the appendix, caecum, colon and rectum.
The digestive system works as the mouth helps in chewing the food, esophagus helps in peristalsis, stomach helps in the mixing of food with digestive juices, small intestine helps in peristalsis. The digestive tract absorbs water which later is provided to the body. The minerals in the body are absorbed by the body. The water and electrolyte balance is controlled by the body.

Note:
The body maintains water balance by thirst, interaction of the pituitary gland and kidneys, osmosis.
The thirst helps the body to maintain water and mineral balance by alarming the nerves, further leading to the stimulation of the nerves to send impulse to the brain.
Osmosis leads to the transmission of water from one place to another in the body. The passive flow helps in the inflow of a larger volume of fluid in the cells.
