Note: The proclamations have been brought about through amendments (changes).The basic fact that the Preamble is a part of the constitution was also brought about by The 42nd Amendment Act of 1976. The terms “Integrity”,” Socialist” and “Secular” were also added through the same amendment. In addition to the various objectives, the Preamble also acknowledges the date on which it was first adopted (26th November 1949).
