As we know, the Ozone layer is mainly present on the upper portion of the stratosphere. More than ninety per cent of the ozone is present in the stratosphere. From the stratosphere, it captures all the UV radiations coming from the sun and what we get in the earth’s atmosphere is UV free sunlight.
The stratosphere is located around 45 km away from the earth’s surface. Near the earth’s surface ozone is present but only in a minor amount which generally can’t harm humans.
But some carbon emissions by industries and releasing of CFCs are creating a harmful effect on the ozone layer.
