As you can see in the diagram:
There is presence of vascular bundles which are arranged in a ring around the pith in dicot stem These vascular bundles are conjoint, collateral, open and endarch.
Dicot stem means that the stem contains two cotyledons and that is called a dicot stem or you can say dicotyledonous stem.
There is presence of a well-defined epidermis:
> It is the outermost layer consisting of parenchymatous cells.
> There are no intercellular spaces.
> There is presence of cuticle and multicellular in epidermis.
Below the epidermis, there is presence of cortex:
> It is differentiated into layer of collenchyma cells which makes the hypodermis (middle layer)
> The cells are present with intercellular spaces.
Below the cortex there is endodermis which is inner most layer:
> This layer is barrel shaped.
> It is compactly arranged without the intercellular spaces.
> There is presence of starch grains in the cells
Phloem parenchyma is present in the dicot stem.
Pith is well developed.
The vascular bundles are always open because there is presence of cambium between phloem and xylem.

Note: Dicot stem is stem having two cotyledons and it is solid in most cases. The ground tissue is differentiated into endodermis, epidermis, hypodermis, cortex, pericycle, medullary rays, pith, etc. Vascular bundles are present arranged in a ring around the pith.
