Hint: Myopia is an eye disorder and commonly known as near-sightedness and it is otherwise known as short-sightedness. In myopia, the affected person can see the close object clearly, but the far object is blurry. Hypermetropia is also an eye disorder and commonly known as farsightedness and also known as long-sightedness. In hypermetropia, the affected person can see the far object clearer than the close objects.

Complete step by step answer:
(i) Myopia:
Myopia is one of an eye disorder, where the affected person can see the close object clearly. Myopia is also known as nearsightedness and shortsightedness. As the name indicates, shortsighted where the people can see the nearby object very clearly.

Correction of myopia:
In this disorder the eye lens gets affected and focuses the object in front of the retina. And this disorder can be corrected by using eyeglasses, contact lenses and surgeries like LASIK. But more commonly, myopia can be corrected by using concave lens.

Explanation with ray diagram:
The myopia disorder can be corrected by using a concave lens in front of the eyes. In myopia, the image is not focused on the eye retina. The image is focused in front of the eye retina. By using a concave lens, it corrects the image path and focuses on the eye retina. So, the myopia eye disorder is corrected by using a concave lens.

(ii) Hypermetropia:
Hypermetropia is one of an eye disorder, where the affected person can see the far object clearly. Hypermetropia is also known as farsightedness and longsightedness. As the name indicates, long sighted people can see the far object very clear.

Correction of Hypermetropia:
In this disorder, the eye lens gets affected and focuses the object next to the retina. And this disorder can be corrected by using eyeglasses, contact lenses, and surgery. Also, this disorder can be corrected by using a convex lens.

Explanation with ray diagram:
The hypermetropia disorder can be corrected by using a convex lens in front of the eyes. In hypermetropia, the image is not focused on the eye retina. The image is focused next to the eye retina. By using a convex lens, corrects the image path and focuses on the eye retina. So, the hypermetropia eye disorder is corrected by using a convex lens.

Note:
Both myopia and hypermetropia are rare eye disorders. In both disorders, the object is not focused on the eye retina. In myopia it focused in front of the retina and in hypermetropia it focused next to the retina. Myopia can be corrected by using the concave lens and the hypermetropia can be corrected by using a convex lens.
