There are different kinds of festivals broadly classified into national and regional festivals.Festivals which are shared by all religions and regional communities include national festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. Our religion festivals which are celebrated by people of religion coming together which include Holi, Diwali, Id and Christmas. Harvest festivals are celebrated by different names in different regions however the purpose of celebrating them is always the same these include Lori, onam and Pongal. Holi Diwali celebrated by Hindus Eid by Muslim Christmas by Christians Ganpati is the main festival of Maharashtra Navratri is of Gujarat Pongal is celebrated in Tamilnadu, Onam is celebrated in Kerala, Lohri is the festival of Punjab.It is an event celebrated by a community centre in some characteristic related to their religion or cultural beliefs.
