William Harvey made the historic medical discovery that blood flow must be continuous and that its flow must be unidirectional. This discovery made him famous in the history of medicine. William Harvey was born at Folkestone, Kent in 1578. He studied at Caius College situated at Cambridge before enrolling himself at the University of Padua in 1598.
