Hint:
To explain different zones of candle flame the proper diagram should be known. The three different zones can be explained to differentiate the zones in the candle.
Complete step by step solution
The best way to see the different zones of candle is by watching candle flame through cobalt glass.
As shown in the figure there are three different zones.
- Outer Zone: The colour of the zone is blue. It is the hottest part of the flame, because complete combustion takes place in this zone. It is not the brightest zone.
- Middle Zone: The colour of this zone is yellow and orange. This zone is somewhat hot because partial or incomplete combustion takes place in this zone.
- Inner Zone: The colour of this zone is dark. This zone is regarded as the coolest part of the flame. This is due to the reason that in this zone, no combustion takes place.
These zones are important for a candle to throw the maximum light and to heat the outer surface of the pan in which the water is heated. The sealing of the plastic bag is done if it is placed in the outermost zone so that the heating is done but just to meet the plastic and not to burn it.
Note:
There is probably no fuel which can be considered as ideal fuel. But scientists are using Hydrogen as a fuel with maximum burning efficiency, and energy produced is maximum.
