Hint:
In given numbers for finding the least common multiple we have to find the common multiple in both numbers which is the smallest in both, multiple is the value which we will get by multiplying the numbers with the $1,2,3,4,5,6........$ but not with zero.
Complete step by step solution:
Given that –
Find the least common multiple of $14,6$
So first we find all possible multiple of $14,6$
Now the multiples of $14$ are
$ = 14 \times 1,14 \times 2,14 \times 3,14 \times 4,14 \times 5,14 \times 6,14 \times 7..........$
Then after multiplication we will get
$ = 14,28,42,56,70,84,98..........$
Now the multiples of $6$ are
$ = 6 \times 1,6 \times 2,6 \times 3,6 \times 4,6 \times 5,6 \times 6,6 \times 7..........$
Then after multiplication we will get
$ = 6,12,18,24,30,36,42..........$
So, in both $14,6$ multiple we find the least common value which is $42$
So, we can say that our least common multiple is the $42$
Therefore, the least common multiple of $14,6$ is the $42$
Note:
For finding the least common multiple we have so many method but we have discuss the basic method of finding the least common method we can also use the factoring method in which we find the factor of given numbers in form of prime number then we will take common value one time and all remain factor and multiply them then we will get our least common multiple.
