As we know every particle in the complete universe attracts each and every particle in the universe with the force and that is directly proportional to the product of the two masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them, according to Newton's universal law of gravitation. Earth rotates around the Sun; this is all due to gravitational force. The earth orbits because the earth's velocity is perpendicular to the gravitational pull, causing orbital motion to occur.
