We must remember that the calcium bicarbonate is a white-coloured crystalline powder. It exists only in aqueous solution containing calcium cations and bicarbonate anions.
When bicarbonates are heated strongly, they form carbonates and emit carbon dioxide along with water.
The chemical reaction for calcium bicarbonate when heated can be expressed as,
$Ca{(HC{O_3})_2}\xrightarrow{\Delta }CaC{O_3} + C{O_2} + {H_2}O$
On the other hand, limestone is a useful rock. It was used for building, making roads and many other things. Limestone is also called calcium carbonate. When heated strongly it forms calcium oxide (slaked lime). This calcium oxide when dissolved in water forms calcium hydroxide (lime water). If we bubble carbon dioxide through calcium hydroxide solution, it forms a milky suspension of calcium carbonate.
