Hint: In order to solve this problem subtract the weight of chocolates from the weight of the toffee packet to get the difference in their weight. Doing this will solve your problem.
It has been given that the weight of toffee packet is 1 kg 345 g and the weight of chocolates is 1 kg.
We know 1 kg = 1000 g
So, 1kg 345g will be 1000g + 345g = 1345g
Therefore, 1345 g is the weight of a toffee packet.
And 1000 g is the weight of chocolates.
The difference of their weight will be = The weight of toffee packets – The age of chocolates.
= 1345g – 1000g
= 345g
Therefore, the toffee packet is 345 grams heavier than that of the chocolates.
Hence, the correct option is B.
Note: In this question we have asked to find the difference in the weights of toffee packet and chocolates with their weights given in kg. We have obtained their weights in grams by doing the conversion 1 kg = 1000 g. Then we have subtracted their weights to get the difference. We have subtracted it without converting their weights into grams but converting into grams makes the answer more clear.
