Hint:In the circular curved road, the vehicle experiences the banked turn. The vehicle experiences the inclination, and it seems that the vehicle moves towards the inside of the curve. This is called a banking turn. The vehicle doesn’t slip as long as it experiences the frictional force with the banked road.
Complete step by step answer:
(i) When the objects are in contact, there is a contact force acting in between the objects. This contact force can be divided into two types of forces. They are the normal force and the frictional force. The normal force is the force normally exerted on an object which put its mass on that object. And the frictional force is based on the texture of the object whether rough or smooth.
(ii) The normal force is the force exerted by an object which is fixed on an object placed on its surface. Contact forces are all under Newton's laws of motion.
(iii) Consider there are two components of normal force. They are vertical components and horizontal components. The vertical component balances the vehicle in a straight while the slanted horizontal normal force between the vehicle and road causes the vehicle to be balanced in a road. And this horizontal force is balanced by the frictional force which balances the vehicle with an angle \[\theta \].
(iv)This balance by the horizontal component provides the vehicle to experience the centripetal force.
Hence the correct option is A.
Note:Force accelerates the body at rest, and it tends the object to come at rest when it accelerates. Hence the force is the product of mass and acceleration. The net force is the total amount of forces acting on a body. There are many forces acting on a body if it is in motion or at rest. When the body is in motion, the frictional force is one of the forces acting on a body. This frictional force is the resistive force acting on a body in motion. It makes the body come to rest.
