Hint: Use the concept that the diameter is the longest chord of any circle. If the chord passes from the centre of the circle then it will be a diameter of the circle.

Complete step-by-step answer:
In the question, we have to check if every diameter of a circle is also a chord. So going with the definition of the cord, we know that it is a line segment that has the endpoint on the circle’s circumference. Now, the diameter is also the line segment that has the endpoints of the line on the circle’s circumference. The chord and the diameter is shown in the figure below.

Now, as can be seen that the diameter is the line from the centre O of the circle and this is the longest chord, whereas the chord is any other line segment that is not passing from the centre of the circle. Also remember that we can draw an infinite number of diameters in a circle and each such diameters can be considered as chords but however not all chords are dimetre. However all diameters are definitely chords.
So, from the above-mentioned concept we can say that every diameter is a chord but not all chords are a diameter.

Note: The chord is the line segment and it is very different from the secant line of the circle. The secant line is such that it will cross the circle’s circumference. The chord will however, never cross the circumference of the circle. Make sure that you note that not all chords are the diameter of the circle.
