Hint: IUCN is the world’s most important and largest conservation network. It brings together more than 800 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), 110 government agencies, 83 countries, and some 10,000 scientists and experts from 181 countries. Gland, Switzerland is its headquarters.

Complete answer:
In October 1948, following an international conference in Fontainebleau, France, and the World Conservation Union was founded as the International Union for the Protection of Nature (or IUPN). In 1956, the organization changed its name to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. It has been known by the name the World Conservation Union since 1990.
Over the past few decades, the idea of conserving the environment has steadily gained political acceptance. But, people still ignore and underestimate the goods and services that nature provides to us. For example, today, several species of plants and animals face the threat of extinction and many ecosystems- forests, wetlands- are being destroyed and degraded even though we know that natural ecosystems are extremely essential for the survival of life on earth. The mission of IUCN or the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources is to encourage, influence, and assist societies to make sure that the use of natural resources is ecologically sustainable and equitable and to conserve the diversity and integrity of nature throughout the world.

Thus, option (A) is correct.

Note: IUCN develops and supports conservation science and implements this research in field projects around the world, subsequently links both research and results to national, local, regional, and global policy by holding dialogues between civil society, governments, and the private sector. At the United Nations General Assembly, it also has the official status of Observer.
