Hint Maharana Pratap died of injuries sustained in a hunting accident of Chavand. He was the son of Udai Singh 2nd and Maharani Jaiwanta Bai.

Complete step-by-step solutionHe was the 13th king of Mewar. He is known as 'Mewari Rana' and popularly known for his military resistance against the expansion of the Mughal Empire. The Mughal emperor Akbar was intent to secure a fixed route to Gujarat through Mewar. When Pratap was the king in 1572, Akbar sent a lot of envoys entreating him to become Akbar's puppet-like many other Rajput leaders in the region but Maharana refused the proposal and war became inevitable. The Battle of Haldighati was fought between Maharana Pratap and Akbar's force on 18 June 1576. Akbar's force was led by Man Singh 1 of Amer. Maharana Pratap found himself wounded and the day lost. He escaped to the hills and managed to live another day. Haldighati was a futile victory for the Mughals. They failed to capture Maharana Pratap or any of his close family members in Udaipur. Later on, Pratap and his army came out and recaptured the western region of his dominion Rana Pratap defiance Mighty Mughal Empire almost alone and unaided by other Rajput states. Maharana Pratap died on 19 Jan 1597 at the age of 56 in Chavand, Mewar (presently known as Chavand, Udaipur, Rajasthan).

Thus, option (C) is correct.

Note Maharana Pratap is known to develop Guerilla Warfare techniques and known as the only Rajput ruler who refused to accept the slavery of the Mughals. He used to carry 208kg of war weapons.
