Hint:It is a generic term for landforms formed by deposition in glacial environments. Flowing water bodies deposit various matter of earth along their way like rivers carry along lots of debris such as pebbles, sand, slit that ultimately forms deltas.

Complete answer:
Moraines are debris or slit known as till deposited by the glaciers. These usually comprise sand and rocks and can be large boulders or small as slits. These are present only where the glacial environment is. Glaciers are gigantic, rivers of ice. The formation of Moraine depends on location, dynamics of glaciers and characteristics of sediments.Common types of Moraines are lateral moraines, medial moraines, supraglacial moraines, and terminal moraines.

Lateral Moraine is formed along the side of glaciers. The glaciers cut the rock from both sides and the debris and sand gets deposited on the top of the glacier. These loose sediments from lateral moraines.
Medial moraines are present in the top or inside the glacier. These are formed at the intersection of two glaciers when two lateral moraines from different glaciers are pushed, resulting in a stream or narrow line of rock and earth which forms the medial moraines.Supraglacial moraine is dirt or debris accumulated on top of the glacier. These are formed either by dust or dirt deposited by rain and wind or some Earth has fallen upon the glacier.Ground moraines are unusually shaped lands overlaid with grass or other vegetation. They look like a blanket of till.
Terminal moraine is moraine ridge also referred to as end moraine. These are found at the terminus of glaciers where all debris that has been collected and pushed forward from the glacier is deposited as large piles of rocks, earth and sediments.

Note:Moraine is a glacier landform. Moraines are debris or slit known as till deposited by the glaciers. Some common types of moraines are lateral moraine, medial moraines, supraglacial moraines, and terminal moraines.
