Hint: A soft tissue that contains protein filaments of actin and myosin that rub and slide past one another producing expansion and contraction that results in the change of length and shape of a cell is known as a muscle. It is found in most animals. Their main function is to produce force and induce motion.

Complete answer:
The diaphragm is a thin skeletal muscle that subdivides the ventral body cavity, i.e., separates the abdomen from the chest. It is an organ that plays a very important role in respiration. It contracts when we inhale air, increasing the surface area of the lungs to inhale the maximum amount of air. It also creates a vacuum that facilitates the lungs in inhalation. It relaxes and helps in pushing the carbon dioxide-filled air out of the body. Diaphragm increases abdominal pressure that aids the body in the excretion of feces and urine. It also increases the pressure on the esophagus to prevent acid reflux. The diaphragm has three openings that allow substances to pass between the abdomen and chest. The first opening is the esophageal opening which controls the substances of the digestive system to pass through. The second opening is the Aortic opening which allows transportation of aortic blood. The third opening is the Caval opening which allows the passage to the blood going to the inferior vena cava.

Note:
The movement of the diaphragm is controlled by a phrenic nerve that runs down from the neck to the diaphragm. The diaphragm has a porous membrane that accumulates fluids or air passing through the abdomen into the pleural spaces of the chest. This phenomenon causes hiccupping.
