Hint: The electric cell is an electrical device which converts chemical energy into the electrical energy. The electric bulb is an electrical device which converts the electrical energy into light energy.

Detailed step by step solution:
1. Electric cell: The electric cell was invented by Alessandro Volta. The electric cell is used to convert chemical energy into electrical energy. When an electric cell is connected to a circuit, the electrolyte present in the electric cell generates current in that circuit by flow of electrons from the negative terminal to the positive terminal of the electric cell. We can also combine a large number of electric cells together to form a battery.
2. Electric bulb: The electric bulb was invented by Thomas Alva Edison. In an electric bulb, we have a thin filament which gets heated when electrical current is passed through it. The heating is so high that the filament produces a glow of a light source. Thus, the electrical energy gets converted into light energy in an electric bulb. The bulb is filled with an inert gas so that the filament does not get damaged as the material used can easily react with atmospheric gases.

Note:
1. The electric cell invented by Volta used the chemical energy of the electrolyte to produce electricity but now there exist cells like solar cells which can create electricity without using any chemical energy.
2. The inert gases have the property that they do not react easily with other elements due to which they are used in electric bulbs to provide the filament an inert atmosphere.
