Hint: In this question, let us first understand what subtraction is. We know that subtraction is an arithmetic operation in Mathematics which means taking away certain things from a group. In other words we can also say that it is the method of removing objects from a group. There are certain words by which it is meant such as Minus, Less, Difference, Decrease and Deduct.
We can see the example of subtraction:
105=5
Here we have taken away five from ten, this is called subtraction.

Complete step by step answer:
In Subtraction, we know that there are two parts:
1. Subtrahend
2. Minuend
We will now understand the definition of both.
We can define Subtrahend as the number being subtracted from another number in arithmetic operation as subtrahend.
While the other number from which the subtrahend is subtracted is called the Minuend. And the result we obtain is called the difference.
We can write the above as:
Minuend Subtrahend = Difference.
Let us take an example to understand it better.
We have a statement: 5 is subtracted from 7 . It can be written as
75=2
Here we have,
7 is called Minuend
5 is called Subtrahend
And,
2 is called the difference or result.
Hence the number being subtracted is known as Subtrahend and the number it is subtracted from is called Minuend.

Note:
We should note that we can use addition as subtraction in the inverse process. It is closely associated as an addition.
Suppose we have
85=3
So by using addition we can also write the above equation as:
5+3=8
Hence we can say that
3,5 and 8 are members of the fact family.
A number fact which is made of three numbers is called the fact family.
