Hint This River is the longest of the five rivers that flow through the historic crossroads region of northern India and Pakistan. It is also called Satadree.

Complete answer:
Bhakra Nangal Project is built on the Sutlej River in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh in northern India. Bhakra Dam is a concrete gravity dam and forms the Gobind Sagar reservoir. It is located at a gorge near the upstream of height 226m. The length of this dam is around 518m and the width is almost 9m. Its reservoir has a storage capacity of about 9.34 billion cubic metres of water. It is the third largest reservoir in India in terms of quantity of water. The largest reservoir is the Indira Sagar Dam in Madhya Pradesh.
Nangal Dam is another dam in Punjab built in the downstream of Bhakra Dam and together they are sometimes called Bhakra-Nangal Dam.
The Sutlej River is the easternmost tributary of the Indus River. Bhakra is built around this river to provide irrigation and other facilities to the nearby areas. Its waters are allocated to India under the Indus Waters Treaty signed between India and Pakistan. The water is mostly diverted to irrigation canals in India.
The river has several major hydroelectric points and the drainage basin is mainly in India’s Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, J&K and Haryana.
