They are geostationary earth orbit, medium earth orbit, low earth orbit and high elliptical orbit. Geo-stationary earth orbits are defined as those satellites which are at a distance around $36000km$from the earth. The satellite which has been launched in this orbit to gain all kinds of Radio signals, whether signals, TV signals and so on are the example for this. Another one is the medium earth orbit. It is defined as the satellite having a distance around $5000-12000km$ from the earth surface. The maximum number of satellites which are launching in this area for transmission is an example for this. Another one is the low earth orbit. It is the satellite which is operating from a distance around $500-1500km$. This has been used for spying, and also even can catch small footprints. Delay of the signals will be very low.
