A Visit to the Delhi Zoo
Yesterday, my parents took me to the Delhi zoo. A zoo is a place where different animals are kept in enclosures. I was very excited to visit the zoo and got up early in the morning. We reached the zoo at 9 A.M. and began our adventure. As we entered, there was a little pond full of fish and majestic birds around it. As we started moving ahead, I could hear the roar of the lion. So, we went to the lion enclosure and saw the lions eating their first meal. We also visited the noisy bird section which was filled with colourful parrots and pigeons. I even saw a white peacock dancing in its enclosure. My favourite section was the Reptile section, we saw numerous snakes and tortoises. We all were very hungry and tired by mid-afternoon, so we decided to eat something and rest for a while at the cafeteria. Lastly, we saw a giant elephant feeding its young one. I hugged my parents and thanked them for bringing me to the zoo.
