Hint:An eye vision depleted condition occurs with aging and people with age more than 40 are suspected to a greater extent, the vision got interrupted and annoying hence treatment is necessary to get proper vision and maintain the overall body health.
Complete answer: Presbyopia is physiological insufficiency of accommodation associated with the aging of the eye that results in continually worsening of ability to focus clearly on nearby objects. Including difficulty reading small print, need to hold reading material farther away, headaches, and eyestrain also other types of hypertensive issues are also seen. Different people will have different degrees of problems.
Cause of presbyopia: Presbyopia is a normal part of the aging process, occuring due to age-related changes in the lens (decreasing in elasticity and increasing hardness) and ciliary muscle power of the eye, causing the eye to focus light behind the retina when looking at close objects.it is a type of refractive error including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Diagnosis is by an eye examination by the regular practitioner.
Treatment:
Corrective lenses: Corrective lenses provide a wide range of vision correction, some lenses as high as +4.0 diopter. People with presbyopia opt for convex lenses for reading glasses; specialized preparations of the convex lens usually require the services of an experienced optometrist.
Surgery: Refractive surgery has been done to create multifocal corneas. PresbyLASIK, a type of multifocal corneal ablation LASIK procedure is used to correct presbyopia. Results are, however, more fluctuating and some people have decreased visual acuity. Concerns with refractive surgeries for presbyopia including people's eyes changing with time also. Some other side effects included in multifocal corneal ablation include postoperative glare, halos, ghost images, and monocular diplopia.
Note:It is a type of refractive error including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Diagnosis is by an eye examination by the regular practitioner. Types of refractive errors may exist at the same time as presbyopia.
