Hint: The second Battle of Tarain took place in Tarori in1192 A.D . The war was fought between Mohammed Ghori's Ghutid army and Prithviraj Chauhan's Rajput army. The war destroyed Prithviraj Chauhan's reign, and he was jailed and executed to death.

Complete Answer:
Prithviraj III, also known as Prithviraj Chauhan, (born c. 1166-died 1192) is Chauhan's Rajput warrior king (Chahamana) in the clan of rulers who founded Rajasthan's strongest kingdom. The kingdom extended from Sthanvishvara (Thanesar; once the capital of 7th-century ruler Harsha) in the north to Mewar in the south and was inherited by the young Prithviraja, taking control of the government within a few years. Prithviraj achieved military success against many neighboring Hindu kingdoms early in his career, most notably against King Paramardi of Chandela. He also repulsed the early invasions by the founder of the Muslim Ghurid dynasty, Muhammad of Ghor. He was faced with a revolt from his nephew, Nagarjuna, who asserted his own claim to the throne shortly after taking power. The uprising was suppressed brutally by Pritviraja and Nagarjuna fled the fort. Prithviraj’s victorious reign came to a halt in 1192 A.D during the second Battle of Tarain which took place near Tacori. The war was fought between Mohammed Ghori's Ghor army (Ghowr, in present-day Afghanistan) and Prithviraj Chauhan's Rajput army. The war was initiated by Muhammed Ghori in order to assert his authority over a huge number of kingdoms on the northern side of India including Punjab and Sindh. As he was aware of the enemy’s strength, Prithviraj requested an alliance from Jaichand, the powerful ruler of Kanauj but he refused to help. Some reports claim that Jaichand was helping Ghori at the same time. The war eventually ended Prithviraj Chauhan's rule, and he was imprisoned and executed to death.

So, the correct answer is Option:

Note: There are claims saying that there were eight battles fought between the two kingdoms prior to the defeat and Prithviraj was able to win all of them. He captured Muhammed Ghori during this but eventually let him go.
