Hint: The first Women's University in India was (SNTD) Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University. It was founded in 1916 by a social reformer for women's education. The university was initially started by a group of five students and gradually took shape as a Women's University.

Complete answer: The SNDT women's university was founded by Keshav Karve in 1916. In the year 1896, he established an ashram for helpless and widowed women near Pune to make these women self-confident, sufficient and reliant and realise that schooling was essential for them. He established the programme of schooling which became a regular school for women and girls. In a society which was governed by age-old customs and orthodox attitudes towards women the school launched by Karve faced social and economic difficulties. Regardless of all the criticisms and difficulties in 1916 he established his first Women's University with the enrollment of five women students and did not wait for governments permission for funds.
-Rani Ahilya Devi is famously known as Holkar Queen of the Malwa kingdom. He is famously known for numerous forts and roads in Malwa and sponsoring festivals and giving donations to Hindu temples. During her time she held public audiences to help address the grievances of her people.
-Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was an Indian social reformer and educator. He is famously known for campaigning for Hindu widow remarriage and their upliftment and for the education of women and the rights of lower caste Hindu people to study Sanskrit. Throughout his life, he challenged the many Hindu orthodox rituals and worked towards the upliftment of the society.
Therefore, the correct answer is option-D.

Note: In 1920, the University got its name after the mother of Mr Vithaldas Thackersey who donated 15 lakh at that time in the memories of his mother Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey. In 1936 the University shifted its headquarters to Bombay and provided higher education to more and more women.
